try Steeda or Maximum motorsports. They both sell higher stb's.
My Steeda is high enough to clear the Roush cai on mine.

they don't do anything performancewise, they just keep the front end from flexing and protects it during wrecks and what not. my JLT intake on my car screws with my brace too, i think i'm just going to cut the part off the goes from one side to the other, and then just put the parts that go to the middle of the firewall(or w/e it's called)

?????

It will help handling performance a bunch!!!

It won't do squate for a crash as it is not meant for that, it'll get wadded just as easy as anything else if taken a hard hit.

It is meant to stiffen the front or rear end strut towers to keep them from moving and flexing to a minimum during cornering thus giving you better control and handling performance of the car.

I had them on my '67 Mustang and it made a ton of difference performance wise as far as handling is concerned.

Lynnbob is right. Lets face it guys, our mustangs both young and old, are a flexible lot and anything that can be done to stiffen them up is a good thing.

It ties the strut towers into the firewall adding some extra bracing to the top of the engine bay. The export brace plus the monte carlo bar on my 67 took a lot of the cowl shudder out and this brace looks to serve the same purpose.

I just ordered my stb from the local Ford dealer last week so it should be here before the weekend. I really hope it does tighten up my convertible.
