Default Just picked up a 2000 GT, Supercharger???

So here is the skinny. its a 2000 gt with basani x pipe, flowmaster cat back, short throw, underdrive pullies, Diablo Sport tuner. Zoom stage 2 clutch. SO obviously im gonna get headers and CAI. I have an officer at my command who has a Vortech s trim with all the injectors and a FMS and throttle body and MAF for 1500. Will a stock 4.6 handle ANY boost for a long time? what other mods if any would be required???

Thanks Y'all.

Well then would it be better to just run a little juice instead for a little street action and keep the boost off the engine??

yeah man i drive around and id say about 70% of the time im not even in boost. and when i do hit boost its like 2-3 psi. that is until you get on it. The car drives like stock until you want it too. For that price i would definately pick it up! how many miles on the blower?

Im not exactly sure about the miles im sure its a couple thou at most. he said he had it on for a short while and sold the car and knew he could get his money for it stand alone vs on the car. so i lucked up. but isnt boost all about the pully?? and will the diablo handle the tune? i have access to a chassis dyno also.

I have a 2000 GT with 92k miles and I'm running 8 lbs of boost with no problems. The tune is very important. I highly recommend a custom tune. The weakest part of the 4.6 is its connecting rods and pistons, that's why horsepower should be limited to around 400-420 rwhp.

+1, assuming that everything is there other than the tune you will need 1500 is a steal.

GET YOUR OWN TUNE though, don't trust his. It must be custom tuned for your car.

And a 2v will last a LONG time on boost so long as your not stupid and its tuned correctly.
