CD Player Delete Help

I have 96 GT with MACH 460 and I already have after market headunit on top. I bought the lower delete for the old cd player and I cannot seem to get it out. I am wondering if I just needed the tools for the side and I just have to pull? I have been pulling crazy hard and it wont budge. Do I need to disconnect any other things? Oh and how do you remove the piece of plastic that goes around both radio's, ac/heat cluster etc. I want to clean around the edges to make her look a little nicer. THANKS!

the trim just pops off. dont be scared. take off the shifter bezel first i know for a fact that pops off after you take off the shifter **** and disconect the lighter. there might be 1 or 2 bolts holding on the bezel around the ac and stuff.
