PCV PART PROBLEM
I have a 2002 GT (60,000 miles) that I am attempting to replace the PCV valve. The PCV valve originally on my car is the Motorcraft Part No. is 10722 EV-253 (it has a single inlet and outlet). After taking it to the local Ford dealership, they told me according to their computer system my PCV valve should be on a 2003 Cobra. They provided the replacement part (EV-253) to me, but it was missing the black hard plastic elbow which connects to the hose. I have attempted to remove the plastic elbow, but am unable to do so. Does anybody have ideas on how to remove the elbow and/or replace the PCV system on this vehicle?
Thank you to anybody that can help!

i replaced mine recently. The replacement from ford had some sort of adapter piece that was not necessary in my case. not real sure what it was, but anyways I popped the elbow off of the old PCV and put it on the new one and put it back in. It takes some pressure to get it off, just put some more muscle into it. same with putting it back on the new PCV..it snaps in pretty hard, takes some pressure. only thing that confused me was I had heard the PCV twists in and out. mine just went back into the hole without much friction..no threads or anything. twisting one way or another did nothing.
