Im looking into getting a newer car and was wondering if there were any problems with the 99-01 that i should be careful about, since it was the first few years of a new body.

Last but not lease, the 01's I believe had slightly smoother 'edges' on the front and rear bumpers. I don't know how to describe it better other than where the front license plate and letters in the rear bumper are, are smoother than in 99-00.
Other than that, the cars are pretty much identical.

Don't get the 99 or 00, go with 01 and above. The cup holders in the 99-00 are right behind the stick, anything taller than a 'short' coffee cut will get smacked by the stick. The second cup holder a bit futher back is only good for a large Fast food drink. Forget about a 7-11 big Gulp or Circle K super drink. Also, the 01's had smoked headlight assemblies which IMO look better than the chrome ones in earlier years.

So you'd trade the t-45 for some more convenient cupholders? Your funny.
