What gears would be best for my 1997 mustang gt, 3.55s or 3.73s. I will be driving on the highway. How big of a difference is it between the 2?

+1 on the 3.73's. There won't be enough of a difference to worry about between the 2 ratios. And if it's an auto, go w/ 4.10's.

 

You currently have 2.73's right? If so, the 3.55's would even be abig improvement. I have 4.10's in mine and I drive 40 or so highway miles a day and they great! If your set on either 3.55's or 3.73's, go with the 3.73's.

 

Yeah go with 3.73's they are the best bet for ya. They are a great gear. I almost wish I would have got them with the everyday I do, but u'll love them.

3.73's are a great all around gear for a T45. 4.10's are good for autos and T3650's. I've heard good things about 3.90's, too. I like to use FRPP gears and they don't make 4.10's, so it'll be 3.73's for me, too!

 

i agree with the 3.73s they are perfect. i have an auto and i am about to install 4.10s with the diablo tuner. it doesnt seem hard at all to install either
