it depends on how much power your amp is pushing..I had underdrives and a JL 1000/1 with a w7 12...way to much power so I sold that system and have a 400/4 with 2 w0s and highs and no problems at all now...still have the underdrives and havent had a problem since the change

It won't be that bad if you get a capacitor, but not worth the money if you ask me.

capacitors do nothing except look cool. if you have anything beyond a walmart system i wouldnt get pulleys (i wouldnt get them anyways but your car is gonna be choking with a system on at a red light)

That's a good read. I haven't heard them being bashed like that before. Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing, but the part about caps does sound pretty opinionated.

Just don't use your altnator pulley as it lowers your a/c charge. Crank pulley is where the power is anyway. This is how I have mine. Pulleys are in fact a nice notice mod for the money. I will be selling mine BBK piggy backs in a couple of weeks $ 50.00 if you are interested.

If your voltmeter bounces to the beat, while the radio is cranked. You are starving the system from needed power. That will cause exess heat in the amps. Just somthing to remember.

my 95 you can see the volt meter drop at a red light if you turn the radio all the way up... and I agree about using the stock alternator pulley. No noticeable difference in performance but the charge is better.

i had one in my car for about 2 weeks until i accidentally shorted it with an allen wrench and had a nice fireworks display about 2 inches from my face (dang near **** myself). my headlights dimmed just as much with the cap as with it gone. i had a batcap for a while (look it up) after that and its said to be a battery that discharges and charges extremely fast like a cap does, and holds approximately 52 farads (i think) of energy. i felt a small increase in bass with that and dont know about light dimming because it killed my amp that day i never got to see my lights at night.
