Hi, I am looking to do a shift kit on my 97 GT. I believe I have the 4R70W transmission, does anyone know what shift kit will work with this trans. Summit racing has a couple of kits, but does not say that they are applicable to the electronic overdrive. I am looking for a heavy duty/tow kit for firmer shifts, not the race type. Any suggestions are appreciated.

 

Have you thought about getting a tuner and letting the computer build up line pressure instead of manually? Then you could always undo it if you don't want it later.

 

No i havent actually considered a tuner, it is a good idea though, because I would like to increase the shift points aswell, I will look into it.
