which shift kit to go with?

in my auto, it's an 03, which would b better to get? the jmod or a transgo shift kit? and another question, if i install either shift kit that i mentioned above, could i also tune the shift points even more wit a handheld tuner?

you cant tune a shift kit with a tuner. It will tell you in the instruction manual. You will mess the tranny up. I just used the supplied shift kit that my tuner has installed and it works fine. I had a shop tune each gear for best performance

so if i already have a sct tune that tuned my tranny and shift points, would i have to detune if i were to install a jmod kit?

yes you would..your tranny would be in pieces..is the sct tune not good enough and you want something better

Why would you want to use a shift kit anyway. If you don't like your shift points or pressure, just have it retuned.

I'd try the tuner first and adjust your line pressure and shift points. Then if you don't like that you can go the shift kit route. Why not start with the easiest way first?

i have a transgo shift kit and I had it for over 2 years and no problems. My car shifts great and no problems.
