You could just do what I did: Buy a 4V and spank them both....
+1 haha

The 3v actually make similiar power to us but they are in heavier cars.

+1 on the 98 GT. I've had some 05's and up pull next to me and unexpectly they will lose and they look at me like what I got I got done. I mean a full bolt on car with gears still most of the time should not beat a stock 05 and up. But like black beast said it's all about the driver. Having all that power and not putting it down on the ground can sometimes be a problem for some people.

A 2V with minor bolt ons will definitely beat a stock 3V. Have said that, it is possible for a stock 2V to beat a stock 3V. I beaten a hand fullof 3Vs with my slightly modified 98GT and recently have beaten several 3Vs with my stock 04GT. I really comes down to the driver and his/her experience.
When you race a 3v that is driven by a grandma.... That does not mean you can beat a 3v....

A 98 gt has maybe 190rwhp stock? So unless you had some major motor work done.... Forget about running with even a stock 3v.

lets talk somewhat similar drivers. a stock 98 to a stock 3v is a 80+ hp difference. then a bolt on 98 to a bolt on 3v is a good 110+ hp difference!! even if the 98 cuts a great light and the 3v doesnt, the 3v will pull hard a couple seconds later. ive been behind the wheel of all of them, 91 fox, 95 5.0, 97 gt, 2000 gt, 2001 gt, 2004 gt, 2007 gt, 2008 bullitt, and a termi. its easy to feel the power difference in the different platforms. never drove a v6 yet, i guess im not missing much.

I wouldnt count on that, id run a 3v in my 99-04 if i wasnt worried about all the little techincal stuff, drive wire conversion in particular
This coming from a guy that thinx a bolt on NE GT is quicker than a stock Lightning....

The only S197s I've lost to were either geared, sprayed or blown.

I have 313/313 on 3.27s and weigh at least 200 lbs less.

[align=left]Hate to say it but the 05 and up I have pulled up next to have all lost at lights. It might help I have 4.10's . But still I wouldn't put the NPI GT's down. Some are pretty good cars. I mean 248 hp NPI is pretty good. And last time I check that'll keep up with a PI motor.
