pi heads/intake

Best bang for your buck other than gears. You can get used PI heads/intake and cams for 500 or less on ebay or at a junkyard. Should net you about 35 hp too. Of course instalation is very pricey if you don't have the tools/skills yourself.
that's what i mean. i've seen the pi heads and intake for pretty cheap on ebay but about how much will it cost for the installation. i'd have to get the installation kit, right? also, people are saying to port it before installation. how much more is that? i want to install a whole bunch of parts at one time and was wondering what else i can throw in that won't cost me an arm and a leg.
I would think that install would run about 1200 bucks. It might be a bit less/more, but it cost me 1000 to finally get my cams in and get a tune as well, and really after you have the cams out you arn't very far away from the heads being off.

You MUST get a tune after this to realise the power gains.

BTW, on a 96 I really don't think you are going to see significant gains with the induction. The reason being that your heads flow so poorly you won't maximise all of the new flowing ablity of the intake stuff. Everything you have done so far will help yeild more gains when/if you do the PI swap.

With PI heads (ported), aftermarket camshafts, the PI intake, your exaust (assuming it has LT headers) and the full kit from airfilter to upper plenum, expect around 300-310 RWHP. If you just stick with the stock camshafts and heads, expect around 270 ish RWHP.

much thanks for the info. so there pretty much isn't anything else i should install with above-said parts, huh? i should just save my money for a blower or pi swap, then. right?
