Default Seats?

I'm looking into getting racing seats for my 97gt and i was wondering if anyone here has got Corbeau seats. How do you mount them, is their still any room in the back for people to sit, and where do the 4 point harnesses mount to?

Thanks,
Mike

well i dont have them but i do know that u have to buy a mounting bracket to mount them and the 4 point harnesses bolt under the back seats to the bolt holes there so if someone is riding in the back they will have strapes by their legs

I have sparco's. You will have to buy the mounting brackets like stated above. There is room in the back, but yes the straps will be between their legs.

its not safe at all to do it that way, with the force of an impact and that hard angle of the straps it will actually pull you downward upon impact possibly severly hurting your back. not a good idea at all.

+1 Mount them as to the areas per the directions they mention for your saftey.
If that is a possible option per the manufacturer, then you should be OK, but if not, do it where they say to.

Why the hell would you want to put racing seats and a 4 point harness and still cart people around in the back seats? You either don't need the seats and harness, or you shouldn't be driving around with passengers in the back.

+1, you beat me to it.Sounds to me like it's more an issue of "bling factor" than actually needing seats and harnesses... Must also be some very accomodating or tiny friends, there's no way I'dmake full-grown people sit in the back of my '03 GT except as some form of torture...
