If you are bored with your auto alreay go get a good shift kit installed with a stall convertor!!!! From what i have read on here it is not worth the $$$ to do a swap, if you want a 5 speed find one in your area and trade in your auto. I have a 01 auto, I have used the predator tuner to modify my shift points and pressure! It is so much more fun to drive now that it will chirp the tires every time it shifts from 1st-2nd, and if i am at WOT (with trac-control off) It will smoke them pretty good when it shifts!!!! I am going to be putting a trans-cooler and shift kit in it very soon!!!

very very expensive and aLOT of work. I saw an install of a cobra motor into a V6 auto. It was a lot of work. Cjeaper to trade in for a manual. Bu ti say go with a shift kit high stall converter and a set of 3.73's or 4.10's. All that together is prolyl about the same amount of work, a lil more cash, but a faster car for sure. High stall with gears and better shifts, you'll be eating manuals with one hand on the wheel and one hand waiving "Goodbeye!"
