i have a 99 cobra and was wondering if the 03 supercharger will bolt right on....i know i might need new injectors and all that stuff but i want an opinion would it be worth it? ive seen some used superchargers run for like 400 500bucks which is not bad...but what do u guys think? any opinions feel free to post thanks!

I've seen posts on other Forums where people have done it. Its alot more than just swapping the Eaton to your motor. I just did a google search and there is a crap load of answers to this ? out on the net.

Theres actually a sticky on this at the top of the page. You can do it, but it's not going to be as cheap as you think.

His car is a cobra though, wouldnt that make it a whole lot easier than a 2v?

You would be surprised on all the things that would have to change. I'm not gonna list them in this thread becasue it's been discused so many times on the net and I could mislead someone buy listing something I don't know alot about. But I do know it not a simple bolt on like it would be if he just bought a S/C made for his car.

It's a little far fetched but talk to some of the guys with the eatons on their cars and try and find one who is looking to go with a turbo setup and im sure he would swap all parts becuase he needs your manifolds and all other peices that go with it and you need his blower and manifolds and all that good stuff, its worth a shot, could get a blower for not cost

well howhard do u think it would be?? fuel pump, injectors,regulator?, 03 cobra harmonic balancer?, alternator bracket, intercooler, lines for intercooler, is there more stuff that would be needed?? i just want to see wat else other thanthat will be needed...i would like to get a supercharger kit but i just cant afford it and i would say that doing thiswill save me some money and help in performance...

i would just do a single turbo set up, i think the money and time with using a stock cobra supercharger wouldnt be worth it, + running into problems. who knows how much it could cost you in the end.

I would just be safe and buy a kit that is already set up, not try to fab somthing up at this point.

well i would like to go turbo but im not going to boost it with my stock internals even though i have a forged crank...i know it will hold as long as i dont over boost it but its point less like that and if im going to go all out and buy a turbo its better to get internals done so i just want something small for the mean time u know....even thought if i wanted to boost it with the the supercharger i would still need internals....if i had the money for a kit for my car i would much rather do my bottom end then turbo it...thats my opinion....but thanks for the comment industrial duane
