Yep...Stg 2's get my vote. My Stg 2's also LOVE nitrous! They would work good with the added compression of th PI swap on your car.

Thanks, Are stage 2 drop in like stage 1s, or do you have to degree them? Also do you know if i can sneak a set of LT headers in with the heads off, then fight to get them bolted to the heads?

Degreeing is always the prefered way, but if not mine are ok to "drop in" stright up with the stock timing marks. Stage 2's DO NEED upgraded valvesprings. I would think you could do what you mentioned with the headers.

im on the same boat i want to go f/i with a blower but i cant afford those cost right now and i want to make my stang faster.i was thinking of going the nitrous route because i could have a whole kit for less than a grand and still be makig alot of power.im just scared of blowing my motor.so zw you recomend some cams exhaust and 100 shot on my stock motor and i should be fine? with a good tune what kinda of number should i expect from that?wwat setup are ypu runing?

You can run a 100 shot on your stock internals safely...as long as you have your timing set right and quality fuel and a cold heat range set of spark plugs...You could actually spray a 125 safely, but a svt focus fuel pump would be a good idea so that you dont run low on fuel press..the zex wet kit is very safe...wet kits are harder to run lean because they add fuel in with the nitrous..also, the brainbox on the zex kit controls the fuel by how much bottle pressure there is..it also only activates at wide open throttle to avoid injecting nitrous at unsafe rpm levels...I have a zex wet kit, adjusts from 75-175 for sale on ebay..you shoudl check it out...it also comes with pressure gauge and nos purge kit..its in VERy good condition and looks awesome hitting the purge at night...im selling because im like you...i started with nitrous and now im about to purchase a supercharger and upgrade my internals...My setup was :

4.6 5spd,3.73 gearswith posi unit, b&m shifter, king cobra clutch, slp catback exhaust, pypes offroad xpipe, upper intake plenum, 755mm throttle body, eibach springs(1.5"drop), 10.5" rear tires, steeda underdrive pulleys, aem cold air intake, sct x3 tuner with custom dyno tunes.....

other mods: carbon fiber cowl induction hood, mach 1 grille delete, window tint, mach 1000 audio system, indash dvd player, billet interior accesories, chrome cobra wheels

the link to my nitrous kit is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04...spagenameZWDVW

Cams, exhaust and a 100 wet shot would be fine on a stock motor. I would definately go get a tune, and some good spark plugs.

I'd say you could see 360rwhp/450rwtq. The hp numbers may not be all that awesome, but the tq is crazy!

I'm running a fully built stroked shortblock with H/C/I and a 200 shot. She runs alright. As far as the nitrous set-up, I have this http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/...dularPlate.htm

with purge, window switch, fuel pressure switch, and an innovate wideband A/F setup.

i cant say wether it would be safe to buy a used nitrous kit or not...all i know is that it would be safe to buy mine...none of my stuff is abused and i dont sell junk...but yes, 93octane fuel,1 to 2 step colder heat range spark plugs and 2degrees retarded timing...and you would have a safe 100 shot on your stock engine...heck, since you already have the fuel pump...you could shoot 125 safely with just a little more timing retarded...its as easy as swapping 2 jet pills on the nozzle...if your looking for safe nitrous...zex is the way to go man... as far as #s go...i pushed 267 to the wheels with nothing but boltons witha conservative tune...with the 100 shot...the dyno said i pushed 351 to the wheels...a dramatic increase in power and on the drag strip, im told it would be a little over a second faster...the purge kit is nice to have to...it lets the air out of the line so that when you hit the nitrous...it doesnt shoot air first...it shoots pure nitrous from the start...plus it looks cool to hit the purge..if you got any other questions...let me know

as far as rates to install the kit...i couldnt tell ya...im sure you could do it yourself...it is really that easy...takes maybe 2-2.5hrs depending on your skill level...
