Lowering Help!!
Ok i've looked arund and found about 100 thousand posts on lowering, but not one that actually goes into the actuall process od doing the job yourself....
Can anyone give me an idea of amy special equipment I may need or that would help....
Any info will be great, I can tear an engine to pieces and rebuild it but suspension isnt something i've done much with before.

Well its easy as pie. For the rear you take out the rear bolt of the control arms and it comes down and you throw the spring in and reinstall the control arm. On the front its just as easy... there is like three bolts and the spindel and A arm drops and you throw the spring in. Lift the car and remove the wheels and you will see that its very easy. Make sure you have a crow bar to get the old ones out though.
Thanks for the reply jdaniel
I figured it would be quite easy, but as i'm sure everyone her would probably agree its better to ask the question and feel like a noob than to mess it up and be making a visit to the shop to fix your screwup

Ok one more quick question...
Has anyone had any experiance with the Ford Racing Springs (Mustang C-Springs)
http://www.mustangtuning.com/forac.html
if their comparable to the steeda springs it sems like a good deal right now and saving some green would be nice as i'm trying to save up some money to forge the internals and get a power adder (havent decided what yet, looking at twin turbo most seriously)

I just did the install last weekend. Its painfully easy.
Basic hand tools will do the job. The only "special" tool I needed was a crow bar like jdaniel said. Air tools make it a little easier too.
This helped me a little http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/...edaspring1.htm
A spring compresser will make things a little easier, but I got by fine without using one.

WTF?
I never unbolted anything regarding the control arms...
Fronts: Wheels off, caliper off (including ABS equipment, just un-pop it from holders to give you more room), unbolt 3 bolts on c/c plate, pull shock out and away from car, compress spring or push down on shock, pull old spring out, place new spring in, replace shock, lne studs and holes up, re-bolt to c/c plate.
Rears: Wheel off, Disconnect quad shock, disconnect axle shock mount, push until you can remove spring/compress spring, put new spring in, re-bolt everything, done.

I didn't touch the rear control arms either, but I can understand why he mentioned it. I had a hell of a time getting the new rear springs in, even without the isolators. It probably would have saved me some time to just drop the control arm. But not totally necessary.
Yeap... I dropped mine and it was tons easier. Then I put the jack stant under the control arm and let the axle down till it lined all lined up and I was done. I didnt have a spring compressor either. Thats why I did it the way I did it.
