Default Help! Need New Upper Manifold!

My mechanic just called me and told me mymanifold is cracked and antifreeze is leaking into my cylinders (5 and 6 - causing misfire codes).

He told me to order a kit (part number 1R3Z-9424-AAA) which includes the following parts: intake manifold, gasket, o-ring for the thermostat, water outlet, connection bolts, and alternator brace.

Where is the best place to purchase this kit. He would have to mark it up if he ordered the kit. Thanks.

Could I purchase this kit? The price seems reasonable.

I would by the Dorman intake from summit. Then by the matching intake gasket from summit, but you could check orelly for the gasket, it might cheaper.

How many hours does it take to install by a mechanic? I'm guess around 6 hours.

No, its cake. If the cracked one is out it shouldnt take him very long at all to drop the new one in and put the tb back on ect.
