headers??

RE: headers??
just remember if you get long-tube headers, you'll need to get an h-pipe or x-pipe to go with them. the stock manifolds are a "shorty" style, so if you go with long-tubes, your stock h-pipe (i'm assuming you still have a stock h-pipe) will be too long. you can have a muffler shop cut them down to fit, but i'd just go with an off-road mid-pipe.

RE: headers??
the only long tubes that american muscle has that will fit on an auto are the SLP and those are really expensive
here are a few places that have better prices that will fit an auto

i would suggest getting ceramic coated or stainless steel unless you want rusty headers

i had Mac ceramic coated headers on my auto GT...i picked up around 20 horse from them. Install was a pain in the ***, if you are not mechanically inclined, i would pay to have them done.

RE: headers??
LT headers just happen to be one of the most PITA jobs on our cars. At the minimum you have to unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the engine a little. A lot of people just end up dropping the K-member all together to get enough space. Lets put it this way, its not uncommon for the average guy who decides to tackle this in the driveway to have his/her car up on stands for a week.
