I don't know to much about headers but was thinking about getting some. Just wondering what the advantages of them are how much hp do they add? will they make my slp lm's sound any throatier louder? Also what type should i get??

it will make you exhaust alot louder and if you do long tubes they say you can gain up to 20 HP but short tubes dont due much power wise

From personal experience, I didn't notice the change right away with long tubes. I started up my car and thought that I got ripped off or something. The difference comes in once you step on it with it in gear. You r car is probably pretty loud right now, but it will ROAR with long tubes. My car sounded cool before, but after the long tubes, it now sounds like a beast while i'm driving. I've never been dynoed, so I can't tell you what kind of gains you'll get in that category. I will say that you'll lose some torque on your low-end, which trades off with more torque up top. I kinda miss that initial kick, but I could probably get it back if I got gears.

if you know anything about cars, then you should do them yourself and save money. read a magazine that goes through the steps to install headers.all you do is unbolt the stock manifolds and then replace them with new and improved headers. i know i made it sound like its so simple but it isnt that hard.
