Default Nitto's Question

I am in need of replacing my tires and have noticed that a lot of your are running nittos. I am curious as to the wear on them. How well do they hold up to normal dailing driving? What kind of mileage can you get out of them if you dont plan on tearing them apart at ever stop light? Also how smooth do the ride...I have a lot of highway driving to do here soon. Info is great, thanks in advance!

For everyday driving there get hard and you have to do a bigger burn out to get to the softer tire. But they do hook pretty nice.

Being more of a racing tire though, does normal driving eat them alive?

Normal driving with the occassional stop at the track, you are looking at about 8-10K miles.

im gettin have them, but i dont have them yet. b/c they r so soft so u can launch at a higher RPM. th4 your tire wear will be much greater than normal tire wear. if plan on doin mods then get the DRs in the rear. How many miles do u drive?

Ya c i think i might be a little hard to give u a straight ans. on this question b/c the people who buy DRs race. and obviously their tire wear will be much greater than someone who doesnt spin their tires @ every stop.

yeah thats what i heard. u should be able to get @ least 10K out of them. the less u spin the longer they will last.

I dont drive a whole lot at all really, just around town here and there. But, I have a 2000 mile drive to my next base here in 6 days and I am going to wait until I get there to purchase new tires. Dont get me wrong, I will race anything that pulls up next to me....I'm just trying to weigh my options here. Also does anyone have the Nitto NT 555's? If so how well do they hook and ride and wear? I am thinking perhaps the DR's might be overkill for right now. Then again is there such a thing as overkill when investing in the 'stang.....hrm....

Well Ive only used this pair of DR's once or twice at the track and have already put about 8000 miles on them since the beginning og February and they are still in great shape. My first set of them took a hard beating at the track and I only got about 6000 miles out of them. LOL
