Default coilover kit question

i just put on a coilover kit and the spring hits the spring body. do they only work on certain struts b/c the springbody doesnt sit level on the strut? it sounds horrible and i dont want to have to buy a real set of coilovers if i dont have to. any help would be great. thanks

I think you asked this earlier, I told you to get KYB gr-2's or qa1s other struts wont work. Also coil overs change your suspension geometry, so often times a 1/4" wheel spacer is need to make the rim clear the spring

If you mean the coilover spring is hitting the inside of the strut tower, you may need to swap your C/C plates into negative orientation. I really have no idea what you are asking or what a "real" set of coilovers is.

i have a coilover kit over the factory strut right now. when i take a hard turn or hit a bump, you can hear the spring clipping the coilover body as it compresses.

Yeah i need to see a pic. If you put some crap ebay kit on thats the problem. The sleeves have to be tight so tight that they are hard to get on the strut.
