Congrats on the new ride! You'll love the feel of the other 2 valves at WOT. It's very, very nice!
I would definitely change the exhaust, that will at least make it sound nice if anything else, and should release a few horses.

A good tuner like the predator would be an easy and cheap mod to get you started and you will feel the difference right away.
They claim it could add 30 RWHP to your unmodified car.

yea thanks everyone. a simple catback and gears should help out alot? sounds good to me. black_03 the only other one i found was a rip off too. They seem to be pretty expensive, no matter what... And about the tuners and chips, do you guys think that 30 rwhp is realistic, i would expect only a few but i dunno...they are a few hundred bucks.

I don't know if it's realistic or not because I have not tried it yet, but I have been told that should be a good mod for me because I am worried about warranty.
There is no way that a stock 2001 4V Cobra and a 97 2V non PI 4.6 are going to see the same sort of gains.
What I'm saying is that because you have the 4V, you would see the highest gains out of all of us.
For $400 you will get a more aggressive air fuel ratio and timing curve and you will be able to recal your speedo if you decide to get gears later. You can also save all your factory setting and reload them if there is ever any sort of problem.
