UT - in doing a search i found there are 2 tsb's one for 99-03 and one for 04. i didnt know there were 2 different tsb's.

Silver, i cannot tell you what the whining noise is, but i know there are some people here who can.

i found the below in a post from Casper98gt

I only have about 1,000 miles on the rebuild.

1st, 2nd and 5th are good....4th has a bit of a rattle above 4500 RPM but 3rd is still all fuggered up. It's really bad. I think that's where the rattle in 4th is coming from.

When I had it done the first time, about a month ago, I also had the FRPP racing clutch and flywheel kit put in at the same time and a new release bearing.....just for the hell of it.

They figure I got a bad kit because it's only 3rd that still has a problem......Apparently, some of the kits still got a bad third gear and there is a new, more complete kit or some bullshiz.

I think there's more of a problem with my trans than just a minor rebuild will fix......It's kinda wierd because my driveshaft has more weights on it than I have ever seen.

I told them to do the pilot bearing while they are in there this time too.....just for kicks [8D]

Well I think that I will probally take it in but im also wondering if the whinding noise could be looked at I am not sure that mine is the only one that makes the noise. Can some one tell me if there trans. ever makes a whining noise while acelerating. Some one that has had the rebuild can they please tell me if it took long and did they fix it right. Cause I feel like the slowest that I put the stick in second it still seems to be a little bumpy and sometimes it dont even go in all the way it feels like it went half way and stoped.
