it may be supposed to work that way, but I have the same kit and when my bottle gets low or the pressure drops below about 800 then I get no real push from the spray. I have never had it bog down like you state but I live in a warm climate so I have never had a really low bottle pressure.

I read all of the replies but was not clear. Did you pull it out and spray while the car was not moving to make sure the unit works?

well if you don't have a bottle pressure gauge then there is no real way to know if it is bogging because of the pressure. How cold is it right now where you live. I live in the Southeast and it is in the high 50's for a high right now. If I were to spray with no bottle heater heating the nitrous then my car would not go any faster. It would simply be a waste of spray. You could be in Miami where it is 90 right now and that would not be the problem. If you are in the northeast I would say that is likely your problem.

The thing you can test is pulling the nozzle out and hitting the spray to see if the fuel and gas nozzles are both functioning properly. Just put it in neutral and have a friend floor it for a half second while you hold the nozzle (away from your face or any possible open flame or heat) to see if it is funtioning. I would also unhook the fuel like before I did this or you will be shooting fuel and nitrous. I don't think that will cause a problemif you are careful but it will smell like gas and could get messy if you aren't careful.

wait doesn't the zex kit regulate the fuel based on the n2o pressure? If so I may be wrong then.
That's how its supposedto work.
Yes, the key word is "supposed" . If it fails you could lose a motor. As you can see in this thread the ZEX customer support is terrible and trouble-shooting is a PITA. As much information as there is available on nitrous systems, I can't imagine why anyone would but the ZEX. A gauge and heater is a must as some already know. A nitrous sytem is not "cheap" or "easy" in any way. If you think differently you will pay the price. Do your research...it's all out there. Also take a look at what the fast cars are using....it's not ZEX[8D]
