Default RE: Tach Question

You do not need a tach adapter for 96-98 gt. Come on guys if you don't know what your talking about don't give him the wrong answer.

You can get the tach signal from the brown wire with the yellow stripe located in pin #8 in the white plug harness behind the gauge cluster. You can also use pin #1 as the ground.

Most don't know and the tach adapter making companys don't want you to know is that you don't need a tach adapter in 99-04 GTs either. You can tap into the c.o.p. lead at the ecu harness.

I do not in any way support the install of a big ricer tach in a mustang, but since yours is messing up I decided to help.

Yeah, I know. Big ricer tach, real gay. I'm a fan of them though, so I guess I can respect your opinion, but I have my own too.
