RE: exhaust question again
dont really know what ur asking. a full echaust system would consist of headers, mid pipe(which would b the x or h pipe) and a catback. you can pretty much mix and match different brands so i guess the differance would b u could buy say a slp x or h pipe but put a bassanie catback on it....did that help at all?

RE: exhaust question again
if i'm not mistaken, the stock catback pipes are not 2.5" where an aftermarket catback is. which will open the flow up more. The H pipe if it's an O/R H will get rid of the silly cats and give your car that musclecar rumble. an X pipe will give you a little more power, but sound a bit raspier. A catted H will still give you a rumble, but not as loud as without the cats. hope this helps

RE: exhaust question again
man it sounds like you're on a limited budget right now and just want the car to sound better. if you want your car to sound better on a limited budget, you need to call a muffler/exhaust shop and ask them how much to weld in some flowmasters on your car.they'll know whatyou're talking about, they do it all the time. just tell them you have a 4.6 mustang and want it to sound louder/better/meaner whatever. they'll recommend a muffler for you, and weld them in in place of the stock ones.probably get it done for $250 total (including the mufflers) I would guess. a lot of people here have flowmasters and they sound way better than the stock system.

RE: exhaust question again
the sick exhaust system ur talking about it probly just a cat back and has nothing to do with a h pipe. there are 3 parts to the exhaust. headers, mid pipe and catback. the catback is going to make a big differance in the sound of ur car so if all ur looking for is a good sound then just buy a catback.
