I need 2 oxygen sensors (before cat) and i can't seem to find them cheap anywhere online. And the places that do have them cheap are for mercury cugar, tracer ford ranger, thunderbird, taures, explorer. Ineed to know if i buy an oxygen sensor for a explorer with a 4.6 if it'll work for mine. If the thread and plug matches won't they be fine?

ngk-23120 is the part # for the ones that will fit from summit racing. they're $40. otherwise maybe try a local parts house

anybody know if the 'upper' sensors listed on this site are the ones before the cats? are they the same for each side.

that is the sensor before the cats. but the left and right o2 sensors i think have different connectors but im not positive.

thats the way to go right there. i just bought a set of 2 of those. sure they cost a little more but i know they will work right. ive heard ford cars can sometimesbe kinda picky about the o2 sensors at times and throw a code for non ford sensors.
