Default Need some help (engine)

I bought a 97 cobra that needed an engine, and i bought a 94 mark viii car to put the engine into the cobra so i can drive it untill i can buy and build a nice cobra engine. What all do i need to get the mark engine into the cobra. will i need to change a lot, just to get it to run? like manifolds or anything like that. All i wont to do is be able to drive it untill i can get a cobra engine and rebuild it.

Im pretty sure the mark motor is the same setup as the cobra motor... A buddy of mine did the swap and he changed headers and a few bolt ons. The car runs strong tho. As far as wiring im not 100% sure but i think the connections were the same. U wont really know what u need intill u jump in there and do it. Can someone fill me in about the wirinng with the swap?

The wiring in the 94-96 Mark VIII motors is just about the same as 95+ cobra's so you shouldn't need to change all that much. You MIGHT need a new wiring harness, and stop me if I'm wrong, but I believe the harness is on the opposite side in the mark's vs. the cobras. I don't think you'd have to change much else just in order to get it running unless you wanted to, at least on the engine anyway. I don't know about the mount positioning though..

if you have the cobra engine still id swap the heads and intake from the cobra to the mark. you will have to use the flywheel from a gtbecause the cobra has a 8 bolt crank and the mark only has a 6 bolt. if its a stick id say youd have to use a gt clutch too. hope this helps!

Thanks for all the very good info,I have the wiring for the cobra but i dont wont to cut it to fit the mark engine .So so far it dont seem that big, just wiring and the clutch.the wiring will be the hard part trying to keep the engine light out lol.I hope to start doing it this week.
