This weekend im goin to take out my back seat for many reasons.

1. lighter = faster
2. im transfering to a 4 year college and i dont want friends to be askin me to take my car everywhere
3. b/c of #2 i will be filling my tank every 2 days.
4. im 6' 3" and if someone is in the back seat i feel like im driving a mazda miata [:@]
5. looks more like a sports car.

anyway i dont have my rear seat delete yet, but just figured that i should just rip it out for now until it comes.

Has anyone ever done this b4 and is there anything i should know when doing it? how is the seat held in etc.

It's going to be loud... You'll hear lots of road noise. Your heating ability will go way down...

 

I thought about removing my back seat, but then I can only get one lady in the vert. 3>1 anyday....... Would be nice to fit/take all my stuff when I transfer to UCF this fall though. I'm sure now, some of it just won't fit.

 

yeah i had mine out.... <--- HAD. I put it back in, everything was loud and made me worry. lol. Very easy to remove. 4>1 ladies Also couldnt catch traction for poop. But its comming back out soon so i can put in the rear seat delete.

 

but once the rear seat delete is in it wont be loud right?

 

Traction??? Its not like the seat weighs 400 pounds. Its like 50 pounds at best.

I called a rear seat delete company, one that covers up all the factory sheet metal (so it doesn't look like ****) and asked about wieght savings. They said it is usually around 25-35 pounds.

It is competely useless, and takes away alot of the fuction of the car. And no matter what, its gonna be louder than the seat itself.

 

does anyone know how much louder it will be when i take it out and replace it with a rear seat delete?
