Explain to me this,2003 Mustang GT and im getting a check engine light and the predators not seeing it. Why?

try unpluging the battery, to rest the system.

Hooked the bat back up and went for about a 45 min drive so NO check engine light!should have known better, but I was just nervous thanks DVS
