Default lowering springs

I saw a lowered Stang today and it looks really good. It makes me wanna lower my ride. I was thinking about 1.5" drop. I'm not sure if I wanna do 2" because I dunno if I wanna mess with CC plates. I really don't know much about suspension and lowering springs, anyone have any advice for me? I read that lowering your car can be beneficial for launches because it helps weight transfer, but it can mess up other components of the suspension. I don't wanna do it if it's going to mess up other parts of my suspension. What are you guys thoughts?

Also what is the average cost of springs, recommended brands, and what did you guys pay for parts and labor total?

Don't go any lower than 1.5 inch if you dont want to replace ball joints, shocks/struts, and get a bumpsteer kit. BUT it wont look as good as if you go lower.

Yea I dunno if I have the cash to get all the parts needed to go along with a drop lower than 1.5". I'm still not sure what exactly I would need. Does any one have any good pictures of their 1.5" drops? A brand I have heard is the Eibach Prokit. What else is there out there? any recommendation?

Also, can someone explain to me what exactly caster camber plates do? And what is a bumpsteer kit?

whilei cant tell you exactly what a bumsteer kit is since i have not utilized one yet. I can tell you bumsteer suckkkkkkssss i had it on a mini truck i had a couple of years ago and whenever you hit a bump at higher than 25 mph the car wants to steer into whatever direction you are going. Its not uncontrolable but its not pleasant either

1.5 Eibach Pro Kit is more then enough for a daily driven stang and it looks bad ***. Anythin lower then that you are messing up the symetry of the suspension even though it looks bettter with 2 in drop but again be on the safe side.

Thats good info. That site was talking about drop spindles. It says if people use those to lower their mustangs it doesn't mess with steering geometry and front end problems as much as springs do. Anyone have experience with drop spindles?
