up to 100 shot with the factory tune, 1 step colder plugs.

You should be ok with the factory pump up to 100 shot but you might want to invest in a focus SVT fuel pump just to be safe.

first its not nos, its nitrous.

i wouldnt run more than a 50 shot without a tune just to be safe. atleast get a tuner and retard the timing (i think 1 notch per 50hp in nitrous is whats reccomended dont quote me on that). i'd look into a new fuel pump just to be safe and make sure u get a wet kit.

You can run a 100 shot on the stock tune. Specifically in the Nx instruction booklet it said that adjusting timing was not necessary with their kit, although I am sure it would not hurt. Also pick up an SVT focus pump and you should be able to spray a 100 shot with no issues at all. Make sure to get the window switch, a fuel pressure safety switch, wide open throttle switch, and get the colder plugs and you will have a safe kit. I recommend the Nx plate kit, Also make sure you run 93 octane when you spray.

It's the same thing..... NOS= Nitrous Oxide System, that is the correct term.

He is right.

if u really wanted to u could probly run a 150 shot with a ice tune, window switch and all the other safety stuff but most people run a 100 shot. whatever u do just get the thing tuned.

I think the point is that "NOS" is a brand name... and is NOT synonomous with N2O or Nitrous. Saying "I want NOS!" is like a red flag saying that you get your knowledge about cars from watching the "Fast and the Furious".

Actualy, as the person above me pointed out. NOS, or Nitrous Oxide Systems is a specific brand name owned by Holly. NOT a direct replacement for saying Nitrous, Nitrous Oxide, or N2O.

I guess that's where I show my age of 40 here compared to you younger guys....

When I was into this stuff 23 years ago, thats all we/it was ever refered to as Waaaay before the ricer series movies of "Fast and The Furious" were ever even around.

NOS was what all the top dogs of the day in our area called it and their cars would give any of these guys now a days a run for their $$$ and the ricers were feeeew and far between, thank god!!

Also back in my day you were either a god or an idol if you had NOS, only the big dogs that had big $$$ had NOS and those cars were hitting high mid 12's and high 11's. When you were hitting low 11's and 10's and below they were street legal tubbed cars with cages. It was very different then, then now.

NOS was something we all wished and dreamed of having back then and it wasn't a common thing for people to have like poeple seem to have now.
