Default RE: electric water pump?

What about with UDPs? Can you use the UDP water pump pulley on the elec pump and use the belt from the UDP's?
The belt from UDP's should be the same as stock...

Now what size belt would you need with an electric pump? And what if you have Steeda UDP's (just the crank and alternator, obviously)?
They come with an inert pulley mounted to the electric pump, so you just use your stock belt. No re-routing or anything like that.

No, you cannot use the underdrive pulley on the water pump. I don't see why you would want to though. The pulley that comes on it creates almost zero drag. Its just like a bearing freewheeling on the pump. You shouldn't have to change the belt if thats your question.

So the belt isn't shorter for UDP's? I know when I had my sixer and was looking into getting UDP's, you needed a new belt.

I'm pretty sure the increase in size of the alt + water pump pulleys are counteracted by the decrease in size of the crank pulley, so long story short, the belt remains the stock size.

I just put my pump in two weeks ago and love it. Definite power gain and yes you do need a shorter belt than stock by about two inches.

I have about 10,000 miles on a Meziere electric water pump without any problems. The one in the link is either mispelled or a knock off.

P.S. I will never again buy anything from RPMoutlet. I wish you luck if you do.
