So if a 99 Cobra is more preferable over a 2002 GT...

then why don't people just buy 99 cobras instead of 02 or 03 GTs? The price is nearly the same?

if you can produce 99 cobras off an assembly line to meet the 02/03 GT demand, i'd be happy to buy one.

Now, the prices are comparable. In 02 and 03, they weren't. Not to mention an 03 still has a warranty. There are other factors such as supply however I've never had a problem locating a cobra if I was really looking for one. an 02 Gt also has better hood/side scoops, I believe it's even got a better tranny (3650 vs. T5). Mach 6 disc changer/smoked headlights... I dont know...
