Default cd player problem

i installed a Cd player on my 99. Its has a mach 460 in it.
when i turn it up passt half way its crackles and pops.
not like blown speakers or anything. Just a weird noise.
the guy at stereo store says i have to bypass my amp in the dash becouse im over loading it.
the kit i have to do that is weird and only fits on side?
Is it ture i have to bypass it or could it be somthing else?

Its not the CD player i took it out of my old car and it worked fine 20 mins later in new car it dosent sound good. So i know it aint the CD player.

Anyone else had this problem?

it has a whole lot to do with the amp in the dash! When you put in an aftermarket cd player it has a kinda built in amp in it.. like it will say 50x4 or something like that. That means it gives out 50w per channel but in actuallity it gives nothing near that. But besides that fact, it might be putting too much juice to the speakers with the in dash amp.

A good example is like if your putting subs in your car, your amp cannot be more powerful then your subz.. in example you cant use a 1200 watt amp with 2 500 watt subs. You will blow them out in a second. you would use like an 800 watt amp or just something small then what the speakers are. Same thing goes for your car speakers. With the new cd player putting out some power, and the amp in the dash, you can and probably will blow them if its too much juice

You hit the nail on the head with that one! +1
