Default block or forged internals

Im getting close to 450rwhp and im just wondering will my stock rotating assembly hold or should i get forged rotating assembly...i have been reading tho that i should just buy an aftermarket shortblock my next thing im going to is blower cams and stage 2 heads so should i just go with the aftermarket shortblock?

They say the breaking point for the stock block is 425rwhp after that you are on barrowed time so yes it is time to go forged. As for as a block or assembly i dont have much knowledge on that so someone else will have to answer that one and for heads most people say patriot performance heads and custom ground cams from tim at mph.

I have heard nothing but good things about MMR (modular mustang racing) short blocks. they are very reasonably priced as well. As for the heads/cams, MPH all the way man!

i went with patriot stage 3 heads and cams on mine. wouldn't have it any other way.

my MMR threw rod bearings after about 5k miles [&:]



and yes.. powerpipes are worth it.

yea i was gonna go with mph blower cams and i was thinking of the mmr block what heads are good since im blown im going with blower cams but should i just port and polish my stock heads or go stage 2 or 3?

well patriot heads are just 2v heads that just have all the work done already p&p valves, springs, and retainers so if you just want to get the work done to your heads its all the same
