Default Fuel Level Circuit Problems

It just started today that after driving a few miles, the fuel gauge jumps to zero and the gas light comes on. I can turn my car off, and then right back on, and then it will work again for a couple more minutes. It's like it keeps resetting or something. I got a CEL which said "Fuel Level Circuit Error". Anyone ever had a problem like this? I'm busy this weekend, but Monday I will probably drop the tank and mess around a little bit with the wires.
