I was looking into gears and was trying to decide which for a 97 Cobra? 32500 miles I am only 16 and was deciding which to get? HELP?

Do you do a lot of highway driving? Do you have money to get it tuned for those gears?

I say 3.73s.

I dont drive on the highway alot. Its not like i drive to work everyday or something. Over the summer i may drive down the shore each weekend but not everyday highway use. mainly in my small town and surround area. I have the money too.

i say 4.10 or bust. you'll be thinking twice if you got 3.73 like "i shouldn't have gotten these", then after you get used to them, you'll regret not going with 4.10. trust me.

Aren't 3.73s in my car like 4.10s in a 99+? I've heard that a lot. Definitely go with the 4.10s, I love my 3.73s, but 4.10s would be awesome.

I run 3.90 in a GT they worked out great
gears, bearings and new clutch pack and spring

i would go with 4.10s. i just got them in my 98 cobra and i love them. can get it sideways going into 3rd.

Cobras have a higher redline = 4.10's AT LEAST, I'd reccomend 4.30's. I have them in my GT and I LOVE them.

I have heard that 4.30's would kill my gas mileage though? is this true? I was thinkin 4.10's

No 4.30s won't kill your gas mileage if you are smart with them. Same can be said with 4.10s. If you don't have a lead foot, you'll be fine.

I would imagine, and this is just an inference, 4.30s would REQUIRE you to get some sticky tires. I hear 4.10s are borderline in need of tires, especially for the track, 4.30s IMO you would need tires to get traction. No experience, just my opinion though.
