Default Those with LT headers and wintery weather driving

Have your headers rusted or flaked/discolored at all? I have ceramic LTs from MAC and after driving several times in this winter/salt, they look like they are discolored. I think the coating is flaking off...I've tried recently to blast any salt away to maybe slow it down. Is this a normal thing? This is the first winter with them on, and they were installed in September if that helps.

I don't think the cold weather would do it. It's gotta be the salt IMO..

I have hooker's with ceramic coating and they're falling apart in more ways then one. The ceramic is flaking off and they develop leaks. I'll be getting pypes new stainless steel longtubes pretty soon. That or Kook's, but they're like twice the price.

Is there a way to prevent the flaking/slow it down? Maybe weld a plate on there or something? I do not want to pay out the *** again for another LT install.

It's worth a shot I guess. Do you use any solution or soap, or do you just scrub it off?

My BBK's have surface rust. I wish stainless steel headers were available or affordable when I was in the market... my catback is a year older than my LTs, and it is still in really good condition.
