I'm a novice when it comes to any sort of modifications for a vehicle, but I recently stumbled across The JET Performance website and they offer a module which attaches to the computer and professes to add up to 30 horsepower.

Has anyone ever used this module? What are/were your thoughts on it?

nah man you dont want to mess with that. You wanna look into an SCT XCal 3. This is a handheld tuner that allows you to make adjustments to your computers settings. Comes in handy when you do modifications and you need retunes

 

So how does something like that work? JET also makes a performance programmer which sounds similar, but I wasn't sure how something like that would work/install/etc.

yea go with the hand held like ^ is saying. a chip will need to be retuned with upgrades a hand held can tune your car whenever you want thats my next buy aftermy tranny rebuild. Also a good deal on the site is the full gear kit with the tuner for lik $530 or something like that it comes with the gears the fluid for changing the gears and a tuner cant beat that.
