Default 2v to a 4v question

I currently have a 2v motor and i want a 4v. could i just get some 4v heads and install them? if so how will this effect the computer, and could it be fixed with a tuner?

it's a lot more work than just getting heads. best bet is to buy a complete engine or just a cobra/mach1

+1 not worth the hastle. Plus, I believe the cobra/mach1 block is stronger than the gt's correct?

Nope, can't do it. That's the esiest answer I can give you because if you start to try, you will end up spending more than a brand new, fully-built shortblock costs.

2v is a cast iron block, 4v are aluminum blocks. tolerances i dont know (easily more than the internals) but as said...theres alot of fabrication involved in this. if it was just bolting on 4v heads...theres probably no one here that wouldnt have it by now.

Yup you can do it EASY....[:@] Just pull your car apart and buy parts as needed. It should be any more than around 3,000. No worries though. It's an easy swap. Just flip flop[:@]

I'm not being serious. I'm grumpy and I hate these threads. Nothing personal.

Thanks for the info. I had been wondering about a head swap myself and you just answered several questions I'd been wondering about.

Been there and done that, just get a whole 4v and drop it in, the 4v head swap isnt worth the hassle.
