Default Coilover problem..... Help!

Hello All,
So I have been ina 7 week long build of my front suspension that was supposed to take 2 weeks. With several problems with the installation of the suspension,I now have one last problem and I wanted to see what ya'll think.

Iinstalled the whole coilover suspension and was told thatI don't use the factory bumpstops. is this true?AnywaysI took the car to an alignment shop that deals with racecars and modified cars and that supposedly knows how to properly align coilovers. $300 later, whenI hit a bump,I get a bad metal to metal sound.

Within 10 miles of driving my car and realizing thatI needed to dump more money into replacing the rear bearings and axles, I had the car up on a lift and sawthat the top hat of the coilover is hitting the CC plate boltscausing the metal to metalsoundI heard. Thetop hat is damaged too.I am assuming that my coilover was not adjusted properly.WhatI think has happened is that the alingment shop did not lower the coil enough and put enough spacers in order to make the coilover top hat clear the cc plate bolts. What do you think?
