Hello All,
So my rear bearing went out last week and to make a long story short, I have to replace my rear axels. I purchased a set of Ford racing 28 spline (I know...I wanted to do 31 but don't have the budget at this second.)rear axles and they are/were suppose to come with everything I needed. Well..... They did not come with that ABS sensor wheel thing that looks like it is pressed onto the rear axle. Called the dealership and they said you have to buy the axles with the ABS sensors on them. In further doing my research, I noticed that everywhere i looked, the rear axles don't come with ABS sensors. Can someone please explain what's going on?

The dealership ending up ordering a pair for me with the ABS sensors already pressed on. Did i just get screwed into buying another set of axles?

You didn't get screwedm per se, they just eliminated some of the extra work for you.

You have to mark where the bottom of the old ones are on the axle, press them off carefully(they tend to be fragile) and press them onto the new axles

That's what I figured. I heard a lot of talk from people who want to get 31 spline axles, but never heard of them talk about the abs sensors.
