just bought the car (97 gt) a few months ago, and i was wondering how the 94-98's react to mods (exhaust, for example - i want to put ina new one)

any ideas? thanks

not good at all,in fact it pointless to do anything without doing a pi swap first.

well the 94 and 95s have the 5.0 not 4.6 so its 96-98 but they dont responf to mods very well at all haha. like stated above, do a pi swat or just call it quits.

PI swap or PI motor, is only way to spend your money on 96-98 gts

I gained 81 rwhp from my PI MOTOR swap and Tune. 261rwhp, show me a PI head swap that did that and almost zero mods. Plus Now i have a s/c w/ 11lbs and didn't worry about compression ratios.

Don't wait your time with a Head swap unless you like making things hard on yourself. Only thing I would have done different would be a 4v. They both max out at the same rwhp but the 4v is better stock pre s/c.

I gained 72 rwhp from my PI swap and tune. I make the numbers in my sig with a PI swap, tune, intake, catted h-pipe, and cat back only.

to all who have done the PI swap can you tell the differance after its done? i am doing that and cams in June just wanting to see what the outcome will be!

I'm sorry but did you even read the last couple posts?? ...No you can't feel the different in 80hp.


BTW if there's a miscomunnicata a PI Swap equals Head, Intake & Cams.

The car pulls a lot harder and faster in higher RPM's. It feels like a totally different animal. However, after about 2 weeks I'm already bored with it and wantmore power.
