Default need tips for traction

I find that when I accelerate quickly I loose a lot of traction and my rear starts slipping around. I know that with any gears if you just stomp on it it will be hard to get traction, but I feel like even when I don't even completely stomp on it its still hard for me. When I get up to around 3000 rpm its instant break loose in 1st and 2nd gear unless I get off the gas for a sec, but if I get on it again it'll do the same thing. I don't even want to go to the track because my times will suck, any tips on controlling this (besides getting drag radials/slicks)? Looking for tips on how to get some good traction with street tires.

heres what i did and it helped drastically, and this is with a 400hp car

full length subframes
adjustable shocks/struts
adjustable upper control arms
welded torque boxes
aluminum lower control arms

and the main thing that will help the most is some nice radials (BFG or M/T)

I know you said no drag radials or slicks, but a better tire is your best bet, unless you plan on doing a lot of suspension work.

Tires all the way, man. You don't have anything making your car too crazy, so a good set of tires should work. I have 4.30's and with my BFG drag radials I was able to hook great. I have the BFG g-Force T/A KDW II's now and they seem pretty good. No where near as good as the drag radials, but at least they should last much longer.

This is their drag radial: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...d=18&ar=35

This is the one I have now, the KDW II:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....es&place=2

The drag radial was great, but not for a daily driver. Wet weather traction was bad, and I only got 4k miles out of them (pushed it to 7k, but the steel belt was showing when I finally changed them). So far, the KDW II's seem good, but I have not been to the track with them. They definitely do not grab as good as the drag radials though, as now I chirp 4th gear any time I get on it.

Thanks guys, not enough money for suspension work right now. It looks like I should go with a better tire. I'm running 3 Kumho Ecsta ASX, and one STP on the front right (because I had a blow out and didn't want to wait for the tire place to order more ASX.) Think I should invest in some BFG's KDW II all around? Do these last pretty long? These are a more expensive tire correct?

ive heard that the BFG's dont last too long in general, radial or not. If going with a street tire, i would highly recommend the Kumho Ecsta MX's. I run them now on a 400hp car and they are not terribly bad
