i did a burnout today nothing special. just a warm up the tires double clutch brake torque type of burn out. the problem was that the first time i did it the traction control was on and it screwed it all up. the second time went off without a hitch. i just wanted to see if i could do it in my car since it's a stick i wasn't sure i'd be able to.

the problem is now when i get up to about 3k rpm i have this whiny noise. anyone know what that might be?

 

power steering pump could be whining, check fluid, mine does it around that rpm but nothing to worry about

 

it seems to do it more as i'm slowing down. i guess that could just be because the exhaust isn't drowning it out then.

it sounds like a tea kettle whistling.
