Default ROYAL PURPLE

Is anyone here a fan of Royal Purple? I'm thinking of switching over to Synthetic and am considering RP for my 2004 'Stang GT with27'000 miles.I found it for just under $6 a quart 5W30, not a bad price for a racing oil.

Any opinions out there regarding RP, is there anything that would be a better choice? Your voice does matter!! Thanks

everyone has their preference. i use mobile 1 synthetic, works just fine for me. i got a friend that has RP motor oil, tranny fluid, and differential fluid in his stang he swears by the stuff. your not going to notice any real difference in what oil you use as long as its a good quality oil and you change it regularly.

That's a pretty good price for RP. Anyone ever used Lucas Synthetic oil before? A local store just started selling it. Thinking about trying it. Lucas makes some pretty good stuff usually.

I used RP in my trans, but as long as you change your engine oil on time then it wouldn't matter what you use. WalMart oil is just as good as the more expensive stuff.

I found Royal Purple at Murrays Auto 5W30 for just under $6 a quart. I live in the Chicago area, there's a store about 3 miles from me. I will change all fluids to the same brand, engine oil, trans, and rear end, I like what I hear and at the price I figure it would be worth a try. If they run it in Pro Drag Racing it has to be a winner!
