Default retune?

i ordered a tuner which came with a free custom tune from american muscle about 2 weeks ago. i put all the tune info which was only a catback and a cai it wasfinally shipped friday but in the mean time ifound lt headers and an h-pipe with high flow cats thti got an amazing deal on so my question is do u guysthink i should get a retune for american muscle and do they do it 4 free? And if not should i just pay the $35 and get a tunefrom brenspeed?

Not sure if you would need a retune. I would call AM and ask them what they think. Decent guys there.

Quick question, with your 4.10 gear, were you able to change the speedo on your car with that tuner, or did you have to get the plastic speedo gear? My predator doesn't show me the option to change my gear ratio (sorry to steal the thread)

on our year cars u need to switch the speedo gear. Our speedo isnt controlled by the computer its manual so u need to switch the gear. i just got done installing a tune actually and this is why i was asking the question but i didnt get to install the gears or headers or midpipe yet so i cant wait lol!!

yeah, you can't use a tuner to change the gear ratio. you have to get an inline adjuster. The problem with the plastic gear is they don't make one with enough teeth for 4.10's. i looked into this a while ago and with the drive gear in the tranny, the 23 tooth(largest i found) would only get to up to a 3.55 or 3.73 gear.
