Default Idling problems...?

Hey guys, sometimes when my 02 GT, 5 speed idles (around 650-750), it starts to make a ticking noise that remains until i rev it a few times. A friend of mine said it was just the hydraulic lifters and it was perfectly normal, but i never noticed it until after i installed a MAC CAI and my BBK o/r X Pipe. Also, after idling for a while when its warm, it will start to whine a bit, with nothing except the brakes held. Usually when i rev it up a bit, it goes away, but the other day, it got worse as i revved it, then finally went away. Any ideas to what these two problems might be, and if they're really major or not? Thanks guys.

first chck your oil level, but mine does the same thing and it is the lifters tapping (normal when starting up) this happens because it takes a second for the oil to reach the lifters, but it should go away after a min or so
