Its a very easy install, but the intercooler piping can be a pain. The hardest part for most people is the belt istallation actually, its much easier to do the belt with a little help from another person.

depends what you want man. i'm stuck trying to decide between both of 'em myself.

the short answer is: the kenne-bell will give u instant boost from as soon as u touch the gas up until redline. the procharger starts making boost around 2-3k RPMs. the procharger makes more peak horsepower tho

I believe a centri supercharger (vortech, procharger) are better for the street because you can choose to be in boost or not in boost. You can go all day driving streets and freeway without going into boost with a centri making it feel like a stock mustang.

But when you want to romp on it, at full throttle it will crash you back into your seat and cook some tires, a completely different car. I personally love having a mellow car on my daily drive but a pissed off pony when I am f__ked with..

Not having driven a KB car I can't comment on it's positives/negatives, as far as the belt install, the KB is easier as its much more accessible, while the centri requires the head unit to be removed. Honestly after doing it three or four times wiht my its no problem changing a belt in under 30 minutes.

i've always wondered does a supercharger decrease gas mileage? i guess that's one of the major selling points for me...if i can stay out of boost with the procharger and save gas that would be better for a dd.

When you stay out of boost, your gas mileage does not decrease. When you go into boost you use much more fuel then not in boost (more air needs more fuel), thus its easy to go through fuel quickly when in boost.

If your looking to save gas a supercharger is not the way to go, its very hard to stay out of boost.

a roots is "funner" on the street. instant boost at any rpm, you dont have to wait for it. a procharger would be better for the track.

yea i kno i'll probly be getting down on it all the time [sm=gears.gif]

my car's just not fast enough for me at the moment though and a supercharger's about the only thing that's gonna wake her up. i figure the procharger will atleast save SOME gas over the KB because i won't be in boost while cruising down the highway, etc. i also think it'll be a lot more fun to have the boost hit all at once rather than be there all along

*EDIT*: just checked the kenne-bell site and it says that the supercharger doesn't go into boost while cruising. i guess u have to push down on the throttle a certain amount before boost will kick in. dammit that just made my decision harder again!
